A Second Chance firmly believes that all people should have a financial budget. Having lived without a budget, We know all too well the shortfalls and hardships a person can face. That is why one of the founcations of the program is a balanced budget.
Throughout the program, participants will grow in responsibility as they take on more pieces of a real budget, until such time as their program budget mirrors the budget they will see upon graduation.
A Second Chance staff will teach and mentor the participants in creating and managing a balanced budget including such things as balancing their checkbook. A Second Chance will teach the participants how to use Intuit Quicken for managing their checking account. Participants will also be shown how to manage their accounts manually.
